126 Arrested in Joint Forces Operation in the Capital

A total of 126 individuals involved in various crimes have been arrested in a joint forces operation in the capital. During the operation, illegal weapons, drugs, passports, national ID cards, mobile phones, SIM cards, and cash were recovered from the arrested individuals.

This information was shared in a press release sent by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday (March 1).

The release stated that in the current situation of the country, the Bangladesh Army is working across the country with impartiality and professionalism to ensure the safety of the public, maintain overall security and law and order, curb illegal activities, and uphold the rule of law.

In line with this, based on specific confidential information, 126 individuals were arrested from various areas of the capital over a five-day period from February 25 to Saturday. Among the arrested individuals were listed terrorists, extortionists, members of robbery gangs, pickpockets, juvenile gang members, and drug dealers.

The army has stated that such operations will continue. The general public has been urged to provide information about any suspicious activities to the nearest army camp.
